10 Tips To Avoid a Chicago TNP (Transportation Network Provider) Violation:

ONE
Have a TNP License. Uber or Lyft should provide you a TNP license, which you need to carry with you at all times. If an officer asks for your TNP, provide it to the officer – and BE POLITE.

TWO
Carry all paperwork and have it ready to produce. Uber and Lyft drivers must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License, proof of insurance, vehicle inspection report and TNP Terms of Service agreement.

THREE
Properly display you company emblem. Placing your emblem on the dashboard is a violation. You cannot enter “driver mode” in the app without having the emblem properly affixed to your passenger-side windshield.

FOUR
Special rules apply at Midway, O’Hare, McCormick Place and Navy Pier. You must display your airplane decal on your rear window, and you must have a rear window emblem at McCormick Place and Navy Pier.

FIVE
Display your Chicago tax emblem. Uber and Lyft drivers must display a current tax emblem and Chauffeur License on the passenger side dashboard. Don’t let your emblems expire – stay current and make sure everything is visible.

SIX
Properly display your passenger information card. TNP drivers must display a sign in the rear of the vehicle that reads: FOR COMPLIMENTS AND COMPLAINTS, PLEASE CALL 311. Make sure that it is visible to passengers. Hidden or obscured signs are a violation.

SEVEN
Comply with Hours of Service. TNP operators may not work for more than 10 hours in a 24 hour period. Violation of Hours of Service (HOS) is serious. Chicago Traffic Enforcement Officers are on the look for HOS violations. Make sure you follow HOS.

EIGHT
Be careful at the Airports. You are under the most scrutiny at O’Hare and Midway. Take time to read and follow all City of Chicago Instructions [Click here].

NINE
Have Your Inspection Report Ready. TNP drivers must have their vehicles regularly inspected. We recommend having a neatly organized binder that you always have with you when driving. The more professional and prepared you are, the better your encounter with traffic officers will be,

TEN
Protect Your Driving Record. You must keep your record in good order. So, if you get a ticket CALL A TRAFFIC LAWYER! Uber and Lyft will drop drivers with bad records. You are a professional. A pilot knows he or she must a pilot’s license in good order – you are no different.

Very rare that attorneys like Frank are still around

THANK GOD for Frank!!! my license was at serious risk and facing serious fines & Frank was able to get my charges reduced dramatically & supervision!!! I’ve had a fare share of traffic attorneys in the past and none have ever performed how Frank & his staff has in the past!! its very rare that attorneys like Frank are still around. Attorneys usually take your money & don’t do what they say!!! NOT FRANK! He’s a Man of his word…
